Good afteroon,everyone. I’m Yuan Xingchen. I’m anEnglish teacher from Sihong No3 Middle School. I’m very pleased tohave an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. Mytopic is made of five parts. It includes Teaching materialanalysis, Teaching methods ,Study methods ,Teaching procedures andblackboard design.

二 .Teaching methods
As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English isto cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking andtheir good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’llmainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will letthe Ss learn in real situations,finish a task by making a surveyto help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structureof the dialogue. And inthis lesson a recorder, CAI, school things and a printed form willbe needed. Students should prepare some school things.
三.Study methods
① Teach the Ss how to be successful languagelearners.

③Teach the Ss how to communicate with others andtake competition methods to develop the Ss interest in English.
四.Teaching procedures and purposes of mydesigning.
I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.
Step 1. Warm-up and preview

Purpose: It is important to form a better English learningsurrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some total physicalresponse and at the same time
it provides situationsto review learned knowledge forthe next step.
Step 2. Presentation
Now I’ll mainly talk about this step.

Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is mucheasier for the Ss to learn
and grasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse theSs’ interest in English learning.

Purpose: CAI canprovide a real situation for the Ss to understand thedialogue
and the relationshipsbetween people better. Tell the Ss we should show
our loveliness to theSs.
Step 3. Practice

Purpose: Task-based teaching method isused here to develop Ss’ ability of
communication and also their ability ofco-operation will be well trained.
Step 4. Production

Step 5. Homework

Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speakEnglish as much as they
as in class or afterclass. It is necessary for the Ss to do someextensive exercises
after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.
