Step 1. Pre-Reading
1. Let’s clap
1) Show two blocks (one is big, and another is small)
2) Show the words with the blocks

3. Review the festivals
1) T: In autumn, we have some holidays. They are National Day, Teachers’ Day and Mid-Autumn Festival

4. Guess the festival and say (根据短语猜节日)

Step 2. While-Reading
1. Read and choose
T: That is our plan for Spring Festivl. Wu Yifan has his plan, too. Let’s read fast and choose
2. Read and find
1) T: Wu Yifan writes his plan in the diary. What’s the meaning of diary?
A. 信 B. 日记
T: Look at the diary. What day is it today?
Ss: It’s Sunday.
T: Diary is like Wu’s good friend. So he writes “Dear Diary”
2) T: Read the diary carefully and find.
3) Fill in the table
T: What are his family going to do?
S: His family are going to get together and have a big dinner.
T: What is Wu’s aunt going to do?
S: She is going to make mooncakes.
T teach “mooncake” and “make mooncakes”
T: What is Wu’s grandma going to do?
S: She is going to tell a story about Chang’e.

S: They are going to read a poem.
Ss choose the meaning of poem.

1. Read Wu Yifan’s diary three times and finish your festival plan.
