There are eight basic strokes of Chinese characters, namely: dot, horizontal, vertical, skew, nat, gou, fold, and lift. Each stroke has one or several variants.

The order of strokes when writing is called stroke order. There are eight common stroke order rules:

Left first and then right, such as "recognition", "assistance", "ze", "benevolence", etc.;

First up and then down, such as "king", "dan", "en", "dream", etc.;

Horizontal first and then vertical, such as "ten", "gan", "main", "well", etc.;

Leave first and then suppress, such as "ren", "wen", "ling", "yi", etc.;

From the outside to the inside, such as "the same", "yue", "wen", "wind", etc.;

(三)形声字

The pictophonetic character is composed of two parts, one part represents the meaning of the character, and the other part represents the pronunciation of the character. The part that represents the meaning of a character is called Xingbian, and the part that represents the sound of a character is called Shengbian.

There are six main ways to combine morphological and paraphonic.

Left-shaped right sound: Partially copper, freezing, levying nitrate city

Right-shaped left-handed sound: attacking strength, cutting scoop, so female

Upper and lower voice: Guan Shuang, Dad Fang Yajie

The lower metaphysical sound: the compassionate axe, the tribute to the stool, the ointment

Internal sound of appearance: solid disease valve, heart-warming heart

Internal form and external voice: Hearing the question, boring and debating

(四)形似字, homophone, polyphonic and polysemous characters

Some fonts are similar in style, and it is easy to make mistakes and use them if you don't distinguish them carefully. For example, the difference between the "wei" of "future" and the "end" of "end" is only in the length of the beginning of the pen, but the meaning is completely different.

The correct writing and use of similar characters depends mainly on earnestness. Look for the shape of the font, understand the meaning of the word, and write carefully one by one. It is necessary to distinguish similar characters while accumulating vocabulary.

Some characters have the same pronunciation. These characters are called homophones. For example, "huan", "huan", "huan" all pronounce "huàn", and "bi" and "bi" all pronounce "bì". There are also words with similar pronunciations, such as "zhuo" (zhuó) and "jub" (zhú). To distinguish words with the same or similar pronunciation, you must start with the meaning of the word, and remember what word you often use to form a word.

Words with more than one pronunciation and more than one meaning are called polyphonic and polysemous characters. To distinguish this kind of words, you should also start with the meaning of the word, remember what it means when you read this sound, and what it means when you read another sound. For example: thin, when used in "thin plate", pronounce "báo", which means thickness; when used in "weak", pronounce "bó", which means thin and weak; when used in "mint", pronounce "bò", which is a kind of plant name.
